I wish I could freeze time.

Two weeks of holidays are not adequate, I reckon. I’m sure all of us are well aware that the clock is ticking away by the seconds at breakneck speed. Why can’t the government prolong the holidays?

Nevertheless, I enjoyed my holidays to the fullest.

I wanted the holidays to come soon not only because I wanted a break from reality and have a movie marathon with my pillow, but the main highlight of my holiday is Camporama.

Camporama is a camp that is organized by an international Christian based uniform body - the Royal Rangers. This camp is a must go for it only happens once in four years - it’s like waiting for the Olympics! – And Camporama is your 4 days 3 nights passport to fun-filled activities.

I was extremely happy when I was told – together with 20 other rangers – that I was going to be arriving the campsite 2 nights earlier to set up the campsite. We all agreed to participate and soon the big day came. After making sure that we’ve got everything that’s needed to keep us alive for the next 6 days, we took off for Kula Kubu Baru, Tanjung Malim.  The campsite is humongous for its built to accommodate and carry out all hand picked NS candidates’ activities.

We worked hard to set up the campsite and we definitely enjoyed every single minute of it with up-beat music blasting through the speakers that were transported from home. We had our very own 'DJ' too. One of our commanders were mimicking a malay accent and he was super hilarious! Our hit song was 'We are young; FUN'. All of us would sing the chorus together whenever it was played. It was super cool! 

On Wednesday, when camp began, the campers started filling the campsite. Wide smiles and grins were present on campers’ faces. They were extremely excited to see what the camp has in stored for them. I, personally, was extremely excited too. Although I went to camp 2 nights earlier, the commanders hid everything really well from us. They kept us in deep suspense. 

The campsite provided many activities for us, such as the flying fox and the repelling activity. Camp sponsors sponsored us the horizontal bungee (my favourite), bumper hamster ball, the sticky wall and many more. All these activities were extreme and they made my blood ran fast. There was this game station where we had to make our way into a ball and play football with the ball. So, we were playing football in a ball. That was insane! 

Of course, one of the main highlights were the night rallies. Worship sessions were the bomb! Campers were so devoted in worshipping the Lord and they were so passionate to know about Him more. It was really touching to see young campers from the age of 9 responding to altar calls and letting God write their destiny. Sometimes, we have to be oblivious to what's happening and just focus on God and we have to be courageous for God. I definitely learned a lot during night rallies and they were certainly enjoyable.

Song and yell sessions were my most memorable thing at camp. Anusha, leader of the Semangat team, made super duper catchy songs and they were extremely fun to sing at. During parades, I could sense all the energy and enthusiasm that was coming from Selangor #7. We were all dancing, all singing and all having a fun time together. That moment was priceless! I often find myself singing Camporama songs in school, at home and even in the bathroom! It's that catchy! I miss camp!

Lastly, many new friendships - they were crazy, insane, fun and most importantly sincere - were made during camp and old friendships were strengthened. I had the opportunity to bond and joke more with my leaders and people from other churches and it felt really osome! I really thank God for making this camp possible. Without Him, nothing is possible!

Although camp ended more than a week ago, I’m still having a Camporama hangover. Now, all I can do is to wait for Camporama 2016. 

I thank Johnny Browns for starting the Royal Rangers ministry in the US. He started all these! Who knew that Royal Rangers will be brought all the way to Malaysia?! It's mind-blowing and we all know who made it possible - our master ranger, Jesus Christ! Rangers taught me how to see life in a different perspective - in God's perspective and Rangers taught me how to be a woman of Christ. I am who I am today because of Rangers. Thank you Lord! 

Together with all the rangers in Malaysia, we're going to strive towards greater things. Greater things are yet to come. 

The time has come

Now, my friends, the time has come to start the CAMPORAMA COUNTDOWN!

22. Twenty-two days to the 30th May 2012. 

Well, this is no ordinary camp alright. I, along with many other people, have to wait 4 years - 4 extremely long years - for this camp.  It's like waiting for the Olympics. 

(My) Definition of Camporama : Pure Awesome. 

This once-in-four years camp is fun-filled with mind-blowing activities. We had Archery, Flying Fox, Kayaking, Laser Tag, Frisbee and many more activities for the last Camporama. Trust me, it gets better each Camporama. :) We are divided into different different states this year (we were India for the last Camporama). We, Selangor #7, are SARAWAK this year! So, we'll be dressing, eating, acting like a Sarawak-ian during Camporama. Oh-so-much-fun! Can't wait. :) 

GO SARAWAAAAK!

(My) Definition of Stress : A kind of emotion that is definitely undesirable by mankind. It has the ability to make pimples pop up on one's face and even turn one's black hair white. It, too, has the ability to make one crave for food at random times. :)

Hello and how do you do? :)

The time has come to (I can't believe I'm saying this) start the Midterms countdown too. Well, I'm not going to make it so easy for you to read the countdown timer, I'm going to make you move your brain a little. So... 10-5-3+3-2-1+3-1-2=? days to Midterm. I'm feeling super insecure for this Midterm because I haven cover all the chapters for all the subjects, yet.

Though my parents are being extremely nice with me this time - for not saying anything that's related to Midterms or exams or anything like that, I can still feel the pressure; I can feel the stress! Well, maybe, just maybe, I'm the one who's creating all the stress for myself. I have to admit (same confession for the past 3 years) that I've a lot of competition this year. Good thing? Bad thing? My classmates are extremely smart to the max. Shoot them with a History question and BAM, they answer it straight away. They make me feel dumb. :( In one way or another, it's a kind of encouragement for me. It gives me the determination to study and to want to get good grades. *trying to be as optimistic as I can* 10 points for me! :) 

So Midterms are here and somehow I can't wait to get over with Midterms. I want to get it over with and start my movie marathon! *woot woot* I enjoyed the generosity of Astro for the past 10 days. Thank you Astro for showing almost 130 channels for free! I managed got to watch 'I am Number Four', a little bit of 'Prom' and 'Ramona and Beezus'. I got to watch JUNIORS MASTERCHIEF TOO! Boy, oh, boy, those kids got talent! The best meal I've ever cooked is Maggie Mee. :) BAM. I KNOW YOUR JEALOUS :P I can cook the best Maggie Mee (soup/dry). Teeehee. #whatagreatachievement.

Royal Rangers

'To reach, to teach and to keep boys and girls for Christ'

Today's post is going to be a little different. I'll be writing about something that has played a big role in my life; something that has made me who I am today - Royal Rangers. Royal Rangers is a Christian uniform body that was first formed in the US and was brought into Malaysia in the 1980's. Many churches in Malaysia have this wonderful uniform body and some of them are Grace Assembly Klang, Grace Assembly PJ, Calvary, Glad Tidings and many more.

Well, I attend the Grace Assembly PJ's Selangor #7 Royal Rangers Outpost. Selangor #7 was formed in the year 1988 and will be 23 years old in September. I have been in Rangers practically my entire life and Rangers has made me who I am today. I wonder what I'll do without Rangers. Rangers always make my Sundays really pretty.

Adventure Rangers

After being in Rangers for years, I have made it to the Adventure Rangers age group. (In Rangers, we're separated according to our age) Girls and boys aged 12-14 will make up the Adventure Ranger Boys and the Adventure Ranger Girls. Frankly speaking, being in the Adventure Ranger Girls for the past 2.5 years are the best years in my entire Rangers life.

Rangers meetings are always something I look forward to every single week.

Every Rangers meeting starts off with parade. Commanders and rangers will be looking very smart in their uniform during weekly parades. Shinny medals and pretty ribbons are pinned on their uniforms too, making them look even smarter. Not to mention the cool camp and training camp patches that are sewed on their uniform to mark their milestones. When we have extra time, some patrols will have the honour to present their song and yell in front of everybody. Looking at the super adorable younger rangers and of course the older rangers presenting their song and yell with full confidence and energy brightens the entire parade; this is what I enjoy most about parades.

When the senior guide dismisses us, we will enter our respective rooms and carry on with our Rangers meeting. For my group, the Adventure Ranger Girls, we will continue the meeting with Girls Talk. This is time when we get to discuss and talk about our opinions and views according to the topic given by the commander. After all the discussion, commanders will start helping us with our merits. The commanders will guide us through the merits by explaining the questions and giving us some tips on how to answer the questions.

We will then have a time for bible study. A commander will lead us in bible study and through this we get to know the Word of God more. We will also discuss and question one another about the Word whenever we do not understand them. This has greatly helped me to understand the Word deeper. We always end the Rangers meeting with either an indoor game or outdoor game. Through this, we get to work out a little and of course have fun.

Rangers organizes many camps for us, rangers, to participate and enjoy. Through camps, we always return home stronger for Rangers camps are not very luxurious. We don't camp/sleep in hotels or resorts. We usually spend a few nights sleeping in tents under the beautiful open sky in jungly areas. We get to have the opportunity to bond with nature. (That's the best part!) We gather all our camping skills and use them in camps. We have to build our own fire and cook our own food too. Even though we might stink and might share a tent with 2 other rangers, we still have an extremely great time at camps.

I reckon that the best part of Rangers meetings is the part when we get to bond and mix with one another more. We laugh, we care, we love, we share and we have a great time during Rangers weekly meetings; we are like one big happy family. I meet many school friends every single day but I reckon that the bond I have with my fellow rangers, people that I meet weekly, are much stronger than the bond I have with friends in school. I'm really grateful to have them as my friend.

I thank God for the Royal Rangers ministry and I pray that the Royal Rangers ministry will keep growing and keep transforming young teens' lives like mine for the better.

Well, well, well, how have you been? I've been great, just so you know. :) BEST RANGER PRACTICAL/THEORY &INTERVIEW IS/WAS OFFICIALLY OVER, on Sunday. :) Can I get a *woot woot*? I'm super duper happy about it. It's time to chill and relax! And guess what? It's an off day for everyone who is living/goes to school in Selangor! I have no idea why is it an off day tomorrow, but all I know is that I'm so gonna use this off day wisely! I have already made plans with Joy &Deb. The two of us, Joy &I, will be chilling at Deb's house as we complete our merits for SMA. Dateline is this Sunday! *freaks out*.

I shall tell you a little bit more about what's happening in my life;
and let you know what happened in Best Ranger in the upcoming post. :)

1. Okay, it's been a long time since I've last spoken about my braces. You do remember about me wearing braces right? It's been 7 months already!! And my braces colour for last &this month is yellow-ish orange! :) Many people say that yellow is not a very nice colour for braces for it'll look like curry stain, so I picked something that's close to yellow but it's not entirely yellow, and that is yellow-ish orange! :D And I'm loving the colour. Hmm, which colour should I go for next? My next appointment will be on the 25th, very bery soon! :) haha.

2. My school has many new arrangements for us, students. Many new trainee teachers have came to our school to teach (to have more teaching experience, I guess). Many of the original teachers are on maternity leave and, somehow, contract teachers are being sent home, leaving them unemployed; that's really sad. I mean seriously, what are all those teacher gonna do?

-Anyways, there is one trainee teacher teaching my lovely class. (well, my class can be not-so-lovely at times when the boys start playing football in class) She's a very adorable and very modern teacher. Well, she address us as 'you guys'. For example, 'If you guys give me your full cooperation...'. Yeah, it's pretty cool the way she address us. I mean, come on, how many teachers would address a class like that right? haha. :) And she did a lot of activities with us and made our English Lesson really interesting and fun. *thumbs up*

3. This is a not so good news. :( My school changed our timetable, for the 100th time! Okay, maybe I exaggerated on the '100th time' thing, but seriously, my school has change our timetable so many time! We were just getting used to the timetable that they gave &planned for us in April/March and they decided to change it now, August which is the 8th month of the year. :( Plus, my P.E period is no longer on the last period, that means I have to change back into my uniform after P.E and I'll be all sweaty in class. :) But still, I LOVE MY P.E CLASSES! :)

4. I've been in 2Cempaka for eight months now and I'm liking my class. My class is filled with a mixture of crazy-weird-sometimes annoying-humorous but sometimes disgusting-nice-cool-funny-lame-bright-hardworking and smart students. Did you realize I didn't describe my class with a very important adjective? and that adjective so happens to be 'CLEAN' :D and many teachers complained about my class. :( My class is definitely not the cleanest class that you'll come across in my school, but yeah. That's something the entire class have to cooperate in order to keep the class you-know clean. :) But nevertheless, I still like my class. :)

5. Grace Youth have organized a superb cool for-girls-only-camp! and I'm going! :) haha. It's gonna be held on the coming holidays that's in one week's time. I'm super excited. This is going to be the first ever all-Girl's camp I'm going to attend, how cool is that? :) haha. Well, one thing's for sure, I'm so gonna strengthen old/current relationship and build new ones and most importantly, draw much closer to my Saviour, my Lord Jesus Christ. :)

6. This is not going to be a good news too. :( I've been spending a lot of time on computer; Facebook, Hotmail etc. And the worst part is, I don't really do anything although I'm staring at the computer screen! This is something so very bad; I'm wasting my precious time! It's time for fasting again. I'm going to fast Facebook and probably Internet for a month or two. I managed to fast Facebook for a month early this year. So I want to take up another challenge, probably fast Facebook for two months? But, I have a problem, Facebook is my communication bridge with friends, commanders and Rangers. Facebook is where I get information. So I'm not really sure how to fast Facebook. Maybe I'll still fast Facebook, but I'll only enter Facebook once in two weeks to check whether there's anything important going on? Or I should just shut myself out from Facebook and spend more time talking to God? :) Well, we shall find out. I'll let you know whether I'm fasting Facebook. Would you like to join me? (just asking) :)

Well, I don't think I have a 7, but yeah. I guess 6 is enough to tell you what's going on in my life right? ;)

All the pretty little things

Bonjour! (:
Man, Tumblr has the prettiest pictures! I was actually checking out some of my friend's Tumblr and I found this picture! Pretty huh? Actually some of the pictures that I've put up in my blog are from Tumblr. God has created so many pretty things around us and I reckon that His biggest masterpiece is creating us, humans. It is said in Gen 1:26 (the Bible) 'Let us make human beings in our image, in our likeness'. Well, that simply means that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. Yay!

Some days, we (even myself) will look in the mirror and find 'imperfection'. And we let those 'imperfection' plaster a frown on our face the entire day. Well, I reckon that we should not let those 'imperfection' ruin the day that God has made for God makes no mistakes.

Reading the dailies can somewhat make me feel devastated for teens now a these days are not like teens in the yesteryear. Frankly speaking, I think teens in the 21st century are growing up too fast. Primary school students are having boyfriends/girlfriends already! And they are like 11 &12-year-old children. That's crazy! They are rushing into 'falling in love' stage which most of the time lead to severe heartbreak and some teens that can't handle it will most probably drop a goodbye note on Facebook and jump off a building. Yet again, that's crazy! That's a really irresponsible act that teens are doing now.

'Curiosity kills the cat'. Many teens in the present are really curious. And their curiosity leads to many consequences. For example, abortion and dumping of babies. A puppy-love relationship can take an innocent baby's life away. How sad is that? Babies are the most innocent creatures on Earth. Well, because they are still so young and delicate. They are gifts from heaven and yet many of them don't even have a chance to live. They don't have the opportunity to live to their fullest potential. I really hope that teachers' in schools will educate students more.

Then, there are those that reckons no one in the world loves and cares for them. But they are so so very wrong. There's a God that loves every single one of us so very much that he's willing to send His one and only son to mingle with us, sinners. He eventually died on the cross for us and He rose on the third day. Today, He's alive and He's loving us so very much.

I really thank God for placing me in the Royal Rangers ministry for it has helped me so very much in my life. Rangers is my life. Without Rangers, I don't think I will be who I am today. I really thank God for the commanders that really commit themselves in this ministry. I'm really grateful to have them as my teachers. I have learned so much from them and of course, there are many more things that I have to learn from them and I'm really excited to learn everything that they have to teach me. I will cherish every single moment that I have with the Royal Rangers. (: I love RANGERS! (:

Sharpie pens! Aren't they beautiful?

Hello there! (:
It poured in the morning; a perfect whether to sleep in. The air was so cool and fresh when I got up this morning. *inhales* Ahhh, you could feel the cleanliness in the air, it's just beautiful. When I was waiting for my bus, I was actually admiring this tree of mine that's in front of my house. It has grown so much already. Well, it's not really growing anymore, but it's huge all right! (: I remember my dad said something about trees; they have many different shades of colours. And there I was, standing outside of my house, observing my tree. There were so many different shading; dark green, darker green and even darker green. Light green, lighter green and even lighter green. There were red and yellow leaves too. It's so magnificent, so suiting for the eye. Beautiful I tell you, beautiful. God's creation, wonderful. God's creation never once failed to amaze me.

It's half past three in the afternoon and here I am seated at my living room, blogging. You should be wondering why am I not in school. Well, I'm not sick or anything. It's Report Card Day and my lovely mom picked me up from school early! (: My lovely mom was suppose drop by my school around 5, but she came at 2 instead. Super early aye? Thank you mommy for bringing me home! I can work on my SMA (reports, reports and more reports!) and start coming out with a design plan for my class bulletin board. It's end of June and my class's bulletin board is empty. Literally empty, seriously. teehee. (:

Well, there are some more events that I haven told you about. Here's it is! (:

Kem Sukan (18th June-19th June)

Kem Sukan (or Sports Camp) was held two weeks ago. It was a mixture of fun tiring muscle cramp experience, enjoyable, dirty, wet. I was really excited and was really afraid to attend this camp for I had a tough time last year. Training was tough as usual, but this time, the Seniors paired us up and we jogged 15 minutes around the field with our partners. I reckon that this is a magnificent idea for you can motivate each other when you're jogging. Well, jogging is not a hard task, but jogging for 15 minutes is a very tough task for me. Pheww.

Well, the camp was mostly about the trainings but we had games too. We were all divided into groups of 10 and we had station games. Some games were quite challenging, especially the cup game. (I don't know how to name the game) But this is how the game works. We had to fill our mouth with water and we had to say a word or two with our mouth full. Man, it was hard to talk with your mouth full. I practically spit out all the water that was in my mouth. haha. Never ever talk with your mouth full when you're on a date or something. (: haha. (Y)

Food was yummy. We had chicken for almost every meal. Plus, we had to eat with our hands. Yes, our hands. This part reminded me of Camporama 2009. In Camporama, we had a hand eating experience too. I MISS CAMPORAMA!! haha. And this camp thought us all how to be independent. We had to wash our own plates and keep them clean for we used them for every meal. (: So overall, camp was not bad as I thought. And I definitely learnt a lot of skills and techniques from the seniors. It was great. (:

The oh-so-awesome 6I reunion (30th May)

After two years, yes two years, we, the 6I-ians, finally had a reunion this year! *woot woot. Although some of them were busy and didn't managed to come, we still had fun. Around 20 of us were present. I was so happy to see all of them. Everyone has changed, both inside and the outside, for the better I guess. They were all so matured already, plus they have grown taller. And, some of them lost weight too. The guys are having their deep voice and all; while the girls are looking pretty and all. (: They were all looking beautiful and handsome. (: hahaha.

We went to 1U and we definitely crashed the cinema. We watched Kung Fu Panda II and it was a great movie. Po was so cute when he was a baby panda. Awwww. :D hahah. Then, we chilled at Tutti Frutti. The guys were so hooked to the Cyber Cafe that we, girls, had to drag them out of it. We played the Guardian Angel &mortal game. It wasn't a success for some of them left early without revealing who their mortal were. So yeah, but we had fun :D (Y)

Sweet Retreat

Hello chocolates! (:
It's currently 10.36PM (I can barely keep my eyes open already) and my bed time is half an hour away. Was suppose to attend Yellow house training today, when I woke up early in the morning, I was told that I have no transport back home so I had no choice but to skip Yellow house training today. Look that the bright side, I got to sleep for a little while more. *thumbs up*

Sweet Retreat.
I had the best weekend ever. I attended the Adventure Rangers Retreat and together with my other fellow AR rangers, we spent the weekend in MBS Rawang, Kundang (Yes, the place the place where I got food poisoning after CF Camp). Thank God I am in the pink of health after retreat.

Before we called it a night on the first night, each of us drew lots (of rangers' names) and each of us were Guardian Angel to the name written on the piece of paper. I tried to be a very sweet angel by dropping a good night note for my mortal. I was praying real hard that I would get a super duper nice angel for I didn't get a nice angel during CF camp; and true enough, I got a good night note that very night and received a can of 100plus the next morning. Awww, I like my angel! (: Plus I got two more notes on the following day. I was hoping for more notes, but receiving three notes was enough. *thankyou Guardian Angel! (: I had an extremely fun time taking care of my mortal. I dropped my mortal many many random notes at random times. teeheee. I likey this game! (:

AR retreat was not like the other Ranger camps I've went. AR retreat was a very fun, light and relaxing camp. We didn't have to cook our own food (no stress!); plus we don't have to sleep in tent! We slept in a beautiful dorm that is fully air-conditioned. PARADISE! (: Besides that, AR retreat was very different that the other Ranger camps I've went, for we had sessions on depressions, anger management, table manners, peer-pressure, parents' high expectation for children are good and BGR (FOR GIRLS :) I definitely learned a lot from all these sessions. I've learned how to control my anger more and how to use chopstick the right way. teeheee. I'm a Chinese, and I've been using chopstick the wrong way my entire life. Well, through this retreat, I managed to learn how to use the chopstick the right way! Yay! (:

We were up before the sun was even up the next morning. We were separated into three groups of 10, after having a nice breakfast. The three groups were Yellow, Red and Green. You got it right, I was in YELLOW team! (: Spongebob! (: Yay, yay! After we were separated into groups, we started playing team building games. The games were quite challenging, but together as a group, we managed to complete the challenges. We had paintball too! It wasn't the real paintball, paintball. The commanders filled up water balloons and put paint in them. And we have water/paint balloons! (: The first round, we had to grab other groups' flag and bring it back to our territory. While the second and third round were the "Last Men Standing" rounds. We had to "kill" as many people with our water/paint balloons and keep ourselves safe. I loved the second and third round. It was fun, although I got "killed''. After paintball, we had tug O war! (: The Rangers beat The Commanders! Yay! (: teeeheeee.

We had Sunday service on Sunday, and it was fantastic. I/We could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, and it was amazing. Well, I guess that's about it. (:

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers;

Hello honey! (:

As the sun was slowly making its way up in the sky, my family and I were in the Nilai Cemetery laying flowers on my beloved late grandmother's tomb. The Chinese call this 'Ching Ming'. It's a one day event thing where we take some time off and pay a visit to our lost loved ones. We were one week late, but the cemetery was filled with people and cars; it was quite chaotic. And it was like eight in the morning. My daddy says that we have to leave our house earlier next year in order to avoid the crowd. :O

Most of my cousins, aunts and uncles were present so I managed to do a little bonding with them. Well, most of them ask me about my brother that is now currently studying in US. For it was sunny, we literally had a ice-cream feast. There were a few ice-cream motorbike stalls going around the cemetery selling ice-cream. My cousins had like 4-5 rounds of ice-cream, I had two! (: *whheee.

When the tables and food were set, we started eating. The food was once again delicious, thank you Aunty Wei Yee! (: She's the best cook in the world. I love everything that she cooks. *thumbs up for her cooking!*

Around twelve, we said our goodbyes and we made our way home. While everyone was chilling at home, I made my way to church for Rangers! (: I put on my uniform and off I went to church. They were serving Roti Cannai for lunch. I couldn't stuff anything down my stomach anymore, so I just sat around and watch all my other fellow rangers eat.

During parade, my group, Summer Sunstones, presented our song, or shall I say, our new song. I was/am so proud of my group for they did extremely well compared to last week. *whee. And guess what?! Pow Wow forms were given to us today! Oh my goodness!! (: I'm super mega excited. It's on the 1st-4th of June. Two more months! (: What's Pow Wow? Well, Pow Wow is a Central District camp that happens once in two years. So it's a major thing for us. We'll be meeting other Rangers from other Rangers Outpost. It's gonna be so so much fun! Well, the commanders didn't tell us much details about the camp. I guess they are gonna give us a huge surprise! (: haha.

It's gonna be a super tiring week for me. Netball MSSD is tomorrow and it lasts for four days, (Tuesday to Friday). I'm super excited for Netball MSSD, but I'm super scared too. I'll be seeing/competing with Debbie Chew. I can't wait to see her! (:

Besides that, after Netball MSSD, I'll be attending Adventure Rangers Retreat!! It's been ages since the last AR Retreat was held. I'm also super mega excited for it! It's not going to be as tiring as the other camps, but I'm sure it's going to be super fun as other camps! (: It's going to be a relaxing camps! Don't have to cook food over fire anymore! (: No more stress! (:

Hello Hello! (:
It's been a week since I've last update my blog. How yal doing? (: Just got back from Gadget Camp 2011! *applause* Camp was great, as usual; Tiring, as usual; and Fun, as usual! (: hahas. All because I was lazy to put on some sunblock lotion, I look like a pink salmon since I got back from camp. Sunburns all over :( It hurts too.

We left chuch on Friday, 18th February, to Broga. Somewhere in Hulu Yam, I think. It was a very beautiful campsite. It was my second time there. The first time I was in Broga, our campsite flooded due to a heavy storm. I still remember my friends and I were packing our stuff and getting out of the campsite in the middle of the night. All our stuff were floating. Well, thank God, God hold the rain throughout the entire camp and let the rain pour right after we left. And thank God, there was no flood (:

We, campers, put our camping skills to test. We, the Adventure Girls, were given a huge task to accomplish before Gadget Camp 2011 ends. Whats that huge task you may ask? We put our Lashing Skills to test. We were supposed to build a doorway. Not just any doorway ( you know all those 5 stars hotel? They have a very special and cool doorway? The one that you have to push yourself through, with all your might, to enter. It goes in a circle ) < Yup, that doorway. I hope you get what I mean. So yeah, We were supposed to build that. And guess what? With all our team effort, we succeeded! Praise the Lord. We were pulling the rope with all out might, so that our lashing will be strong enough to hold the entire doorway for 6 months. I really do hope it would last. Our hands were aching after everything.

Cooking. Yes, we had to build our very own fire and cook our very own food. We were separated into 8 groups. For my team, we let the boys take care of the fire and us, girls, take care of the cooking. We had chicken curry for lunch on the first day; egg omelet with long beans (and leftover chicken curry) for dinner; and bee hoon for lunch before we left for home.

Tents. I was separated from Joy and Debbie. My sleeping mates were Sarah, Hannah (she came back from Bangkok for this camp!) and Sasha. Surprisingly, I managed to sleep. Usually in camps, I can't get myself to sleep. But this time, I slept soundly. (: Praise the Lord! (:

Home sweet home.
I have very sensitive skin. I got rashes all over my lower left leg. I had to go to the clinic and thank God it was nothing serious (Y). Slept and 10.30 (earliest ever) and I didn't move a bit when I was sleeping. (:

What A Memorable Day!

Happy 22nd Birthday Selangor 7!

Hello!

It's been 22 years. Young boys and girls are slowly growing up and becoming a servant of God, serving in the Royal Rangers Ministry! Amen!

Today was Selangor 7's 22nd Anniversary. We had to use the Youth hall instead of the main santury for Alpha is being held there. The Youth Hall was way smaller than the Main Santury.

Expedition Rangers and Commanders helped to fix the lightings and sound system; Adventure Girls helped to decorate the Youth Hall; Adventure Boys helped to arrange the chairs; Discovery Rangers were incharge of ushering; Ranger Kids were incharge of being cute and happy.

The afternoon started of with the presentation of colours, followed by a welcome speech from

the Sennior Commander, Commander Terrance. He showed us some pictures of the events that happened this year. It felt good to look back at what we've done. Then, it was worship. It was a simple worship but it was great!

We, adventure girls, didn't get to enjoy the Ranger Kids' and Discovery Rangers' performance for we were changing into our costumes and pretty much freak out the entire time. We were really afraid of dancing in front of so many people. But, it turned out well! Thank God! Pheww. :)

Expedition Rangers' did a GREATTT performance. Really enjoyable and funny at the same time!

After all the performances, it was the awards giving ceromony. Everyone took turns to go on stage and get their certificates. Everyone worked hard for them! Whoo! Then they annouced the Bible Quiz results. Guess what? Adventure Girls won the Bible Quiz! The winner of Individual for Bible Quiz & Best Ranger is Kevin. Ann got 1st Runner up for the Individual Bible Quiz. She is GOOD :) Great Job Ann! :)

So that pretty much it. The Royal Rangers Ministry is getting bigger and bigger! Praise the Lord! Whoo! :)

So here is it! Day 3 & 4 JTC! :)
Well it's basically the same thing the pass two days, just that today, when we were cooking lunch & dinner we were really crazy. :) We sang random songs and told really lame and random jokes. We were actually having fun. :D hahas. yeahh. :) It was really nice to bond with your team mates.

And at the 3rd and final night, we had a special council fire. It's a dedication council fire. Everyone was really serious. Some of us accepted Christ! AMEN! :) hahas. After that, patrol by patrol went back to the campsite and got some rest. We, the Penyu patrol, got to enjoy our delicious chocolate cake. :) It was so DELICIOOOUSSS! :) :) ahhahas. Then we chit-chat for awhile, and started to pack a little, soon we went to sleep for the last night. :)

Day four arrived so quickly, I woke up early and together with the patrol guide, we went to the supply house to get the food. Today's breakfast was ROTI CANAI! :) ahahs. It was really good. :) hahas. Maybe because I'm hungry or the food is really GOOD! :) hahas.

Then, we started to break camp. We took down or tent and everything. Then we went to the parade ground. We sang our song and yell with all our might for the very last time. :) hahas. Then it was graduation time. Thanked God, All of us graduated! :) hahas. We went through the tough times together and we passed the training camp together! :) Wheeeee! :) Then we took group pictures. :) hahas. And soon, JTC had come to an end. :( We carried all our bags and went home. :(

I'm missing camp ALOT! :) really missing it! :) Camp sick! :( Although its a training camp; Although we suffered, but we still had fun! :) hahas. I'm really missing camp. missing camp, missing camp.............

JTC Day 2

Hey hey... :) So here it is! :) Day 2~

Heard a familar voice.... '' Wake up guys!!'' Sarah said. Immediately, Belinda and I got up. It was around 6 am. That day's patrol guide was Grace; Assistant Guide was Jen Yee; Cook was Sarah. So Grace and Sarah went to the supply house and grabbed our breakfast while others try to start the fire. We're suppose to cook scrambled eggs with bread. Soon Sarah and Grace were back with the food, but the fire wasn't built yet. We were trying our best to start the fire, but we failed.

Around 7.45 am, Cmdr Eric came to our campsite. He saw us trying to start the fire (but failed) so he asked us to eat a piece of bread and change into our uniform for we need to do devotion and go for parade. We did what we're told. And soon we were making our way to the parade ground. The patrol guide was holding the banner that we made yesterday and everyone was wearing the bolo tie we made yesterday. We look alike ;) ahhas. We sang our song and yell on the way there. :) hahas.

Soon we reached the parade ground. Not awhile later all the patrols arrived, we lined up properly and we started. Oh yeahh. :) There were 9 patrols they are :-

All of them presented their song and yell. Their song and yell were really cute and interesting and also funny. hahas. We had to present our flag too. I was in charge of presenting my patrol's flag. :) I was sivering when I was presenting it. I hope I did well. :) ahhas. After that it was the morning classes. The morning classes were about Rope Craft, Fire Craft, Tool Craft and Lashing. :) Whoooo! :) My favourite was Lashing! :) ahhas. I like connecting two stuff together x) hahas.

Then it was time to live the nightmare all over again. It was time to prepare lunch. Today's lunch was Maggie meee... :) It's easy to cook... AT HOME. But in camp... not really... the fire was the scariest part. :) Hahas. We were praying really hard. We didn't really eat breakfast in the morning, we HAVE to eat. :) Plus today our guest were the CAMP COMMANDER!!! Man!! More pressure *sigh* What can I say... It's a training camp.. :) oh well.

We went to collect our stuff as a patrol. Then off we went back to our campsite. Some of us started preparing the firewood according to what we learn during Fire Craft Class; while some of us got the food ready. Before I strike the match, we all gathered and prayed together. Then I striked the match, the match caught fire; soon the shavings caught fire, then the twigs got fire, then we started feeding it. :) Thanked God! :) We managed to start the fire! :) Praise the Lord! :) Soon the fire got bigger and bigger, Sarah put the pot of water on the fire and the water started boiling, then we put the maggie mee in, next was the egg, and lastly was the seasoning. The fire was still burning!! :) Praise the LORD!! :) Then Sarah and Grace invited the camp commander. Soon they were back. Then we gathered together and we started eating. Woah!! :) the maggie mee was so delicious. The camp commander was nodding his head when he was eating. :) We ere so proud of ourselves. Of course, all praises to God! :)

Then we started cleaning up, then off we went for classes again. This time the class was about Dutch Oven and Compass. :) I was really looking forward about the Dutch Oven class. :) I find it really cool and interesting. :) Guess who was the teacher for the Dutch Oven Class? Cmdr Terrance. :) Wheee.. :) He baked Apple Crumble for us. While he was doing the steps, he explained everything clearly. :) Hahas. After 30 minutes, the Apple Crumble was done. :) I took a bite of it, and it was really delicious! :) hahas. :) Maybe I was kinda hungry... but honestly it was good. :) hahas.

Then we went for our Compass Class. Compass Class was quite interesting too! :) hahas. Cmdr Ruben was teaching and guiding us how to use the compass. :) It was really fun playing with the compass. The red needle thingy will just keep on spinning when you are spinning.. :) LOL! hahas. I was really surprised when Cmdr Ruben told us that we are going to have a Compass test tomorrow. PRACTICAL!!! :) hahas. And he said that we could fail JTC if we don't pass the compass test. :) hahas. We were all really scared to fail JTC, well because we don't wanna go through it again... hahash. :)

Then it was water games. We didn't have enough time to play the first game, but we had enough time to play the second game. :) We had to lie down and pass the bucket of water to the person behind using our feet.!! I was thinking who thought of this creative game... hahas. :) but we didn't lie on our back, we just sat on the ground and pass the bucket of water to the back. :) Penyu Patrol didn't win, but we had fun ahahhas. :) After the game, Ann started the water fight, then I started pouring the bucket of water onto someone else ahhahas. :) It's really fun! :)

Next, it was time to prepare dinner, just that this time we are using Charcoal instead of fire!! :) hwoooo!!!!! Once we collected our food and stuff, we started preparing everything immediately. :) And we managed to cook, but didn't managed to eat it, well because it was time for parade and the Senior Guide was rushing us because we were really behind time. :) Then off we went to parade ground. Then we had our evening classes. :) Then we went back to the campsite, we were hoping that we could eat, but we couldn't we have to get ready for the campfire, FOOTBALL FEVER. Off I went and changed into my costume ( my brother's jersey and a blue football pants) BRAZILLLL!!! :) My costume was the same as Ann. :) We entered the campfire place and settled down, then I saw Ann getting her face painted with Debbie's face paint. ( Remember bout the face paint I mention earlier? That's the one! :]) Then I ran up and gave her a hug for we were wearing the same thing. Then I got my face painted. :) Then the campfire started. It was really awesome. Mexican wave, Song and yell.... AWESOME!:) Then we went back to our campsite and enjoyed our Pork Stew noodles. :) It was tasty! :) Yummy! :) But before that, Belinda, Joy, Lydia and I went and bathe. :) I was suppose to go to the toilet with Ann... whooops! :) ahhas.

After bathing and everything, it was time to sleep. Suddenly, Joy came up to Belinda and I asking whether we wanna do the assignments together, we agreed. We did the assignments until 3 am. Then we went back to our tents to sleep. :) Nightssss :) Zzzzzzzzz

JTC (Junior Training Camp)

Well, that explains everything.

Hello. :) Just got back from a 4 days and 3 nights training camp. It's call the JTC, Junior Training Camp a.k.a Junior Torturing Camp x) Although the camp was not the usual fun type of camp, but it was still enjoyable. :) It's a national camp, the trainees were from Selangor 1, Selangor 6, Selangor 7 and KL 1. Altogether there were 88 of us. Well, Grace Assembly Petaling Jaya's Royal Rangers are the Selangor 7-ians. Think of one word to describe the camp.... AWESOME. :)

.Day One.
16 June 2010 (Wednesday)
I woke up around 7.45 am, straight away put on my uniform, had tuna sandwich for breakfast; Then straight away carried my camping bag and off I went to church. Most of the people involve in the camp was already there. There were around 10 girls and 19 boys. We, the girls, were chit-chatting. Well we were kinda feeling scared and nervous; We were afraid that we're not up to the challenge/standard in JTC.

When everyone arrived, Cmdr Terrance prayed and off we got into the vans that were outside of the church. Cmdr Jackie, Cmdr Terrance and Uncle Sunny was driving the van. In the van we were chatting about random stuff. :) hahas.

Soon, we arrived the campsite that was located in Sungai Congkak ( Somewhere in Malaysia, one hour drive away) =) We carried our bags and walked into the campsite. My heart was beating really fast. The campsite was quite nice. Really shady, really cooling; the river was beautiful, the air was refreshing, WOW God is just so awesome, nature is so beautiful. :) Agreed?

After a long walk, we reach a small hut, we put our bags, and collected our burret and patch. We were asked to sew the patch onto our burret. I didn't bring my sewing kit. Whopps. Thanked God Belinda brought her sewing kit. There was an extra needle, so I took it and sew my patch ;) hahas. Soon the other outpost arrived. After an hour, the senior guide took us to the parade ground. ( It was a long walk.... ) We put our bags down and Cmdr William brief us about the camp. Because it's the first day, the bought lunch (Chicken Rice) for us. Then we were separated into our patrols. Our patrol names were animal's name. Then we were brought to our campsite. But before we entered our campsite, we stopped at the modal campsite to see how are we suppose to build up our campsite. Well, there are loads of stuff to build. Then we were brought to our campsite. I'm in the Penyu patrol. My team mates are :- Trisha, Cherine, Sarah, Belinda, Krystal, Joanna, Marrisa and Grace. :) Once we were at our campsite, we started pitching our tents then we started lashing and building stuff, then we started cooking.

Unfortunately, we failed to start the fire. But one cmdr came up to us and helped us to start a fire, soon we were eating. We were quite dissapointed, well because its a training camp. Then we had our evening assembly. When we were at the evening assembly, I found out that we could literally fail this training camp and maybe have to come back another time to pass this camp. Then we had our evening classes. After that, we had campfire!! Woohooo! :) Penyu Patrol had to present a sketch about Alert. :) I think we did quite good :) Well most importantly, we had fun! :) Then off we went to sleep. WAIT! We didn't get to sleep yet, because we had to do our banner and bolo tie. :( Around 1 hour later, we manage to complete everything and everyone went into their tents and had a goodnight rest. Zzzzz :)
