I promised that I will write to you soon. My soon is today.
It's already October! Life has been filled with books and more books. Not storybooks, but study material books. I barely have space to place my fruit plate on my study table now. That's how filled my table is. There are many reasons to my sudden untidy-ness. One, I'm lazy to stand up and arrange everything on my shelf. Two, I'll be needing everything anyway, so there really is no point arranging my books nicely and messing it up again the next minute.
I promised myself that I would at least get another post up before the big P (PMR) starts. Normally I would have prepared something in Word before transferring everything here on blogger, but not today; today, I'm letting my thought flow naturally through my fingers.
A sudden urge of blogging washed over me because I reckon today was a pretty important day. Today was not only the day I, along with other 349 students, got briefed on the major exam that we will be taking in exactly four days time, but today was also the last day for me to use my classroom. After PMR, my schooling time will no longer be spent in my classroom.
Now, you may think I'm being silly. However, I might just prove you wrong. Many things happened in that classroom, 3 Angsana. Many many fun things. From the throwing of paper planes, to the kicking of bottle cans to the jokes shared to the treasure hunts we had.... the list can go on and on. Frankly speaking, this year did not turn out the way I expected it. It turned out even better than I expected. I thought when I entered From 3, it would be stressful, everything and anything but fun. But I was so very wrong. This year is my best high school year.
Also, today just proved the fact that we are just a bunch of kids that loves to have fun no matter what situation. Let me remind you that we are just four days away from PMR.
So, we were done with briefings that were so mundane and we just had our recess. We were assigned to our specific classrooms and thank God that most of us were in the same class. By then, the level of stress was as high as Mount Everest but that didn't stop the idea of having a class cheer to loosen things a little. We were goofing and mixing songs here and there, but we just couldn't find the right tune and lyrics that satisfy us all.
The teacher in charged came into class and we had to stop whatever we were planning and got down to business - we swept the floor, wiped the windows, got the right coloured chair, got good conditioned tables and got them arranged according to the chart that is pasted on the class door.
By the time we were done cleaning and got a thumb up from teacher, I was exhausted. I could have knocked off straight away when I took a seat on my striking red chair. But whatever Carissa and Jia Wen sang stopped me from doing so. I diverged my attention to them and I caught them singing something really catchy. '3A spirit, We can do it!' chimed and it was followed by a synchronized clap. Immediately, I knew that it was an idea for the class cheer. And soon after they sang it, people started complementing the song and that was when we all came into a silent agreement - that was going to be our class cheer. And it is. :)
The next moment everyone was doing the cheer together. After the class cheer was created, we somehow went into a hyper mode and we started singing random songs. From chinese nursery rhymes to Taylor Swift's latest and extremely catchy song, we sang them all! But the best song that we sang was a parody that was made by a friend. She changed a mandarin love song into a mandarin bread song. It was epic, really. What made it more fascinating was when it started to rain just minutes after we started singing. However, the rain did not stop us from singing, it made us sang louder.
Albeit it may sound childish to many of you, it was a way we released our stressed and it was just one of the ways we rock and roll. Oh, words cannot expressed how much I love my class!
The next time I see them, it will be the day we all take PMR (please keep us in your prayers!).
