SALT and LIGHT

Fettucini Cabonara without Salt tastes disgusting :P

Hello! :)
On Sunday's Youth service, someone shared and I thought of sharing a little bit about his sharing with YOU! :D

Well, he talked about being the Salt and Light of the world.

''You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness,
how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything,
except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot''
-Matt 5:13

Way back then, during Jesus time, there were no fridge to keep fish and meat fresh. They used salt to keep fish and meat fresh. Without salt, the people won't have fresh and good food to eat and probably die. We're like the fish and meat, and Jesus is the Salt. Jesus keeps us fresh and tasty for the people to eat. Without Him, we are no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. I don't want to be trampled underfoot, I want to be the fresh and tasty fish.

Besides that, if a bag of chips loses it's saltiness, it will be just crispy or crunchy for the people to enjoy. It will be tasteless. So let us be different, let us be the salt of the earth. :) Salt is so tiny, but it can make a huge difference.

JESUS + US
= SALT
Without Jesus, salt will not exist.
Include Jesus in your life.

''You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.''
-Matt 5:14-16

A lighthouse is build to keep the ships and boats from crashing into the cliff in the night. It'll keep the ships and boats out of harm. I'm a person that fear the dark (till now). I always keep the bathroom light on and lie on my bed and slowly enter my dreamland. One light switched on enabled my to sleep sweetly. How cool is that? :) And again, let our light shine before others :)

God bless!
