A place where dreams come true

Friday, 12 November 2010
Disneyland, Anaheim CA

Hello!
My mom, bro and I left the house around 9.45a.m. My brother drove to UCI ( University of California, Irvine ) to pick up his girlfriend to accompany us for this trip. We were heading for a place where dreams come true. Any idea where we're heading to? You got it right, Disneyland.

Once we picked up Yvvone, off we left for Disneyland. It took us around 20 minutes to reach Disneyland. We entered the Toy Story parking lot. And my brother parked at the Woody parking lot. ( Woody 15B) It's really cute that they name their parking lot after the Disney characters.

Yvonne said that there are many other Disney character parking lots too, such as: Mickey Mouse and Friends Parking Lot. And also the Lion King Parking Lot. I'm really impress. Yvonne has been to Disneyland many times. So she is really familar with this place and she has decided which ride to let us ride on. She has been to Disneyland more than/around 16 times. Disneyland is like her 'second home'.

We had to take a bus to Disneyland. So we lined up and took the bus to Disneyland. Today was a really crowded day. We had to que up ( 30-40 minutes ) for a ride. The que is really long, but the ride lasts for around 2 minutes? But it's worth it.

The first ride we took was the 'Pirates of the Carribean'. It was a slow and clam ride. Really really nice deco inside. The people looked really real. At one point, I thought those were real people. Ohoh, the ride was on water.

Second ride was the 'Haunted Mansion'. It was a ride too. And again the deco was really really nice. It was something about Santa Sandy. Oh yeah, everything in Disneyland turned into Christmas mode, so everything is pretty much about Christmas. We were quite fortunate.

We had a break and went for lunch. I enjoyed my cheeseburger in 'Hungry Bear'. The burgers here are extremely delicious. Then off we continued our adventure in Disneyland.

We didn't want to throw up in the roller coaster, so we decided to go for the 'Indiana Jones' ride. The que is really long. Took 45 minutes to get on the ride. So by the time we're on the ride, our food was pretty much settled already. This ride was faster than the previous rides. It was really bumpy but really fun at the same time. This ride was on land.

Then we headed for 'Space Mountain'. This is a indoor roller coaster. It was really extreme. It was really dark in the inside ( they sticked glow-in-the-dark stars. So it looked like we're flying in space), I couldn't expect what's going to happen next although I was sitting in the front with Yvonne. Yvonne and I left my brother sitting alone at the second row. My mother chicken out for she is afraid of roller coaster. One thing bad was the que. We waited for 2 hours. We heard that one of the carriage broke down, so they have to fix it. So that's the main problem of the long wait.

Off we headed to 'Splash Mountain' after 'Space Mountain'. Splash Mountain is really really really extreme. The most extreme ride among the other rides we have taken. We sat in a log on water and go up to the highest point and literally 'fly down'. It was a 76 degree slope down. It was really extreme.

We had dinner at the Pizza Port. The food was once again satisfying. We went for a train ride after dinner, yes, to let our food settle. We stayed until 10 for we wanted to enjoy the Christmas Special Fireworks. Actually they have fireworks every night, just that it's the Christmas Season so the fireworks display is different. It was really beautiful. I had a really great feeling. I don't know how to describe that feeling, but I was really calm. Somehow I was really touched by the fireworks display. It really touched me, somehow. And the songs they play really fit the holiday season. I managed to find the song on Youtube and it's called ''Can You Remember''. If you have time, try looking for it. So that's it. Pictures will come out soon! :) <3
God Bless!
